Having been founded since 2010, Community Act Network, a network of multidisciplinary community actors in Thailand was officially integrated as a committee panel of Association of Siamese Architects under the Royal Patronage in 2014. In the ASA annual Expo'14 held early May this year in Bangkok, CAN host several activities in partnership with various actors, for example, an architect and students' participatory workshop at Klong Takok, SamutPrakarn province to co-design the co-op center and playground for the community, an exhibition presenting projects from different partners in Thailand, a documentary showing the development of community architect movement over the past 4 decades in Thailand, a series of talks and seminars such as 'Design Activism' a panel discussion also joined by Somsook Boonyabancha, Social enterprise and CAN updates. CAN is also planning to organise more collaborative projects and events in the next few years across Thailand as it has intended to promote the 'design-with-people for a social changes' to a wider public and amongst the architectural professionals and students in Thailand.
